In 2012, Reachpoint (formally MJS Web Solutions) graciously volunteered our time and services to develop a new website for the Midway Shelter of Alameda; a safe resource for abused and homeless women and their children. The design was focused on securing donations and providing an online presence in case women and their children needed help.

Ever since, we’ve been assisting with website updates, but now Midway Shelter staff would like to update the website themselves, though back in 2012, the site was developed using HTML/CSS code, so only someone with HTML knowledge could update the site.

We suggested and converted the website to the WordPress CMS (Content Management System) Platform which would allow anyone, without the knowledge of HTML/CSS code, to update the website.

Another added bonus for converting the website is it’s now mobile friendly and viewable on all mobile devices.
